On July 26, Miranda Lambert celebrated the fact that her current single, “Bluebird,” had just been named a #1 song. In doing so, it became her first solo #1 on the Mediabase chart in six years.

Speaking about the current world environment and how the song managed to take off in such a time, Lambert said:

2020 hasn’t offered a whole lot to celebrate, especially for musicians. But I am celebrating this week.  I’m celebrating happiness and the feeling of artistic freedom in a time where we all feel a little caged. I’m celebrating country music and all the joy it has brought to my life. I’m celebrating ALL the fans,  the writers , the musicians, the crews, and bands, radio and streaming services, venues big and small for allowing me to have the most wonderful career for the last 17 years.”

She went on to thank all who made the success of “Bluebird” possible, and said, “Turns out we did have a wildcard up our sleeve.”

To celebrate “Bluebird” and its climb to the top of the Mediabase chart, Lambert released a new performance of the song. She reinvented the track for the video, opting to deliver an acoustic cover of the track.

Lambert has delivered acoustic performances of “Bluebird” in the past. She delivered the song acoustically for both CMT Celebrates Our Heroes and ACM Presents: Our Country. Her official video of the latter performance has over a million views.

Those past performances were all delivered solo, with Lambert’s only source of instrumentation being her own acoustic guitar. She changed things up when she shared her new acoustic performance of “Bluebird,” as she set her guitar aside and was accompanied by one guitar player and a background vocalist.

We could spend all day describing the quality of the performance. Instead, we’ll just hand it off to you in the video below and let you enjoy it for yourself.

Congratulations to Lambert and the whole team who worked on “Bluebird.” We have a feeling this new acoustic video will be a hit for them as well!
