If the 2020 ACM Awards were held when they were supposed to (in April 2020), we are sure Miranda Lambert would have walked the red carpet with her husband of almost 2 years, Brendan McLoughlin.

They actually made their public debut as a couple at the ACM Awards in 2019, so this particular awards show could very well hold a special place in their hearts.

This year’s show was postponed to September 16th and took place in Nashville for the very first time. Performances took place at three locations including the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium.

Miranda Lambert sang her latest single, “Bluebird,” at none other than the historic Bluebird Cafe. She was joined by her fellow co-writers Luke Dick and Natalie Hemby on guitar and backup vocals, respectively.

At a usual awards show, Lambert’s husband would likely be front and center watching her sing, but because there was no audience, he wasn’t able to do that. Instead, he was backstage cheering her on.

In an Instagram post following the awards show, Lambert wrote, “Nashville nights! Hot date, great friends and country music❤️ Felt good to get gussied up for a change!”

The singer shared a series of photos including one of her and McLoughlin all smiles, one holding her ACM Award for Music Event of the Year, and another with Dick and Hemby.
