Between the star-studded performances of the night, the event spotlighted moving testimonies from patients in treatment, survivors, caregivers, and advocates. The impactful stories underscored just how essential ACS’s work is.

“Nashville and the country music community showed up in an incredible way for cancer patients and their families on Giving Tuesday. Country vs. Cancer is a reminder that when we stand together, cancer doesn’t stand a chance,” Shane Jacobson, CEO of the American Cancer Society, said. “We are deeply grateful to these artists and this community for helping us ensure that every life impacted by cancer has hope.”

The American Cancer Society is a leading cancer-fighting organization that aims to ensure everyone has the opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

“We are improving the lives of people with cancer and their families as the only organization combating cancer through advocacy, research, and patient support,” its website states.

HARDY said it was an “honor” to be part of such an incredible event, noting that music has a unique way of bringing people together.

“I’m so thankful I was able to be part of this event and help raise money for people who are battling cancer,” he shared.
