After Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon presented an award at the Golden Globes together, they hung out with Entertainment Tonight to spill the beans about their upcoming new series called Big Little Lies on HBO.
Luckily for us, ET got a little bit more information out of the actresses, who were more than willing to share!
A recent article in the Daily Mail, published January 7, quoted Kidman as saying that she “would love to have more babies” and that she was holding out “the faintest hope that something may happen to [her] this year.”
The article continued, “Keith and I would love to have more babies. My grandmother gave birth to my mother at 49! I would be beyond happy and just welcome it with open arms. Children are the joy of my life.”
Just two days after it was published, Kidman was singing a completely different tune. ET’s Nischelle Turner brought up the article during her time backstage with the Australian actress, and asked, “Do you want to have more [kids]?”
“No,” Kidman replied immediately.
“I would have loved to, if I would have had more kids, but I think I’m past that point now,” she continued. “But I’m very thrilled with what I have. As my husband says, ‘Let’s just enjoy what we have!'”
She’s already mom to daughters Sunday, 8, and Faith, 6, with husband Keith Urban, as well daughter Isabella, 24, and son Connor, 21, both with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Witherspoon joked, “You need to tell me first!” if she was planning on having more kids. The two blonde bombshells were giggly all night, even when they were presenting an award together! Turner commented on their closeness and how cute they are together!
“What’s even funnier is our husbands are over there, off-camera, holding our purses,” Witherspoon teased. We would have loved to see Keith Urban holding his wife’s purse!
This isn’t the first time Kidman made waves on Golden Globes night. Her red carpet interview with NBC correspondent Jenna Bush Hager at the Golden Globes on Sunday night (Jan. 8) came under harsh scrutiny from fans after Bush Hager asked Urban if he got final approval of Kidman’s dress.
“I get the first look which is just as good,” he replied, handling the situation with such class. Fans took to social media to slam the reporter for daring to ask an alleged sexist question like that in 2017.
