Noah Cyrus’ Grand Ole Opry Debut Coincides With Release Of Upcoming Album

Country artist Billy Ray Cyrus‘ youngest daughter, Noah Cyrus, may have “tip-toed around” the country music genre on her first album, The Hardest Part (2022), but now, at 25, she’s embracing her roots.

In turn, country music is extending a hand to her, inviting her into the circle of the Grand Ole Opry.

On July 12, Noah will be making her Opry debut. This performance will be just one day after the July 11 release of her second album, titled I WANT MY LOVED ONES TO GO WITH ME.

Of this honor, Noah wrote on social media:

The Opry has been a place where country music lives, breathes and echoes through generationsโ€ฆand Iโ€™m beyond honored to be stepping into that circle.

What To Expect

Describing her new album as an โ€œimmersive interpretation of country music,โ€ a press release noted Noah’s past reticence about embracing the country genre, but stated that she is now “throw[ing] herself headlong into its sounds.”

Including tracks featuring two special “Nashville guests,” namely Ella Langley and Blake Shelton, I WANT MY LOVED ONES TO GO WITH ME is still very much Noah’s, with the artist saying, “This album is me.”

Listening to her ballad “New Country,” which was released last week and features Blake Shelton, it is Noah’s vision that drives the music, coupled with her appreciation for how “open” she sees the country music genre.

The Opry has described the album as “folk,” writing on social media, “Just ahead of her new folk album โ€ฆ A new chapter begins in the circle!”

Regardless, there’s a track on the album that will certainly be of interest to music fans of all stripes.

The ninth track on her new album is titled “With You,” and it was the first song ever written by her father, Billy Ray Cyrus. Whether she will perform the song at the Opry remains to be seen…

Back in March, when Noah and her sister Miley Cyrus had both released tracks for their new albums, the Cyrus patriarch, Billy Ray, posted:

“Holy s***. I seldom ever swear in my post but this deserves one! You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a Dad who with in less than one weeks time has had his a** kicked and his mind blown by not one โ€ฆbut two of his own daughters โ€ฆ Flesh and blood โ€ฆ completely taking their art to a whole new level . Congratulations girls ! Well done. Iโ€™m so damn proud of both of you. Iโ€™m actually crying as I write this. Thank God you canโ€™t see me. Have fun now and be happy ! Love Dad”

Noah will be gracing the Opry stage on July 12, with Charles Esten, bluegrass artist Sierra Hull, and Jake Kohn also set to perform that evening.
