The final shows featured many memorable moments, including a hilarious prank by Chesney’s opener Megan Moroney and a touching tribute performance with Zac Brown to honor music icon Jimmy Buffett. However, one concertgoer’s experience took a wild turn, resulting in an unexpected incident.

Off-Duty Police Officer Arrested During Kenny Chesney Concert

According to reports obtained by Boston 25 News, a man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and destruction of property after allegedly urinating on a woman standing in the sandpit of the stadium during Chesney’s concert.

Once police responded to the woman’s claims, they located the man in the crowd and found him to be “extremely intoxicated,” arrest reports state.

“When I stood in front of [him], his zipper was down and his shorts appeared wet,” an officer stated in the report. “The victim stated she was standing in the sandpit area and felt something wet spray her leg. She looked down and saw [him] urinating on her shoes.”

The victim told police that her Ariat cowboy boots, valued at $180 and newly purchased for the Chesney concert, “smelled of urine and were ruined.”

The man reportedly walked away after soiling the woman’s shoes, trying to “blend into the crowd,” but security quickly located him, and he was taken into custody shortly after.

He was later identified as Shane Lynch, an off-duty police officer with the Cranston Police Department.

Following the news of Lynch’s arrest and alleged inappropriate behavior, Cranston Police Chief Michael Winquist gave a statement to Boston 25 News, saying that his department is aware of the situation and an “administrative investigation” is currently in progress.
