Chris Young Leaves An Incredible Tip At Myrtle Beach Bar
Country singer Chris Young seems to be as generous as he is talented!
The artist visited a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina bar this weekend, and upon leaving left an incredible tip.
While in town for the Carolina Country Music Festival, Young dropped by the 8th Avenue Tiki Bar and Grill for some food and drinks.
After the singer allegedly spent $200 on his bill, he then proceeded to leave a $2,000 tip on top of that.
“It was a pleasant surprise,” Shawn Conklin, a bartender at the establishment, said. “It kind of made the night.”
Conklin told a local news outlet that there were three bartenders working who split the large tip.
Young played on the festival’s main stage Friday night, and reportedly stopped by the bar prior to his performance.
Young’s History Of Generous Giving
Just last month, the “Who I Am With You” singer helped Nashville musician Sam Hayes after his guitar was broken while in the hands of United Airlines personnel.
“Somebody with an orange jumper that was working the tarmac came in holding the guitar in a case upside down with a thousand pieces in it. Your heart drops. It’s part of what you do and who you are, and just you fall in love with these guitars and they just become an extension of you,” Hayes said.
When Young heard about what happened, he jumped in to help and buy the musician a new guitar.
“He said, ‘Do you want an Epiphone or a Gibson?’ And for those that don’t know, there’s a massive difference between the two price-wise. And I laughed, and he said, ‘No, I’m not kidding. Which one do you want?’” Hayes recalled of his conversation with Young.
The country superstar then purchased a new Gibson for Hayes and told him he could pick it up at Carter Vintage Guitars, an iconic music shop in Nashville.
Chris Young’s Busy Summer Festival Schedule
Young has quite a busy summer schedule, as he is expected to play at multiple music festivals this year.
His next stop is in just two weeks at Wisconsin’s Hoofbeat Festival in Cadott, Wisconsin.
The singer is also expected to headline the inaugural OC Smoke Show in Southern California, joining Chris Janson and The Band Perry.
