Pearce and Rascal Flatts’ collaboration appears on the band’s newest album, Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets.

This is the band’s first album in eight years. Each song features a guest artist singing with them on some of their biggest hits from the past 25 years.

Leading up to their big CMA Fest performance, fans were a bit worried that Pearce might not be able to make it.

Just days before, the “we don’t fight anymore” singer shared a health update on social media, revealing she was dealing with a “frustrating” vocal strain.

She reached out asking for prayers while she recovered.

“I’m still dealing with this very frustrating vocal strain & would appreciate all the prayers and good vibes that I get back to 100%!” she wrote on her Instagram story, along with a photo that appeared to be taken inside a doctor’s office.

Understandably, it’s a tough situation for a performer like Pearce. Being a singer, a vocal strain could delay upcoming shows as she takes the time to heal properly.

Thankfully, she seemed to be feeling much better by the time CMA Fest rolled around.
