Ashley McBryde’s Opry History

McBryde made her Grand Ole Opry debut on June 16, 2017. While introducing her song “Girl Goin’ Nowhere,” she talked about a teacher who told her that her dream of becoming a country singer was “stupid.” The backstory made her performance so much more emotional!

Since her debut, she has performed at the Opry many times and on October 6, 2022, Garth Brooks surprised her during an appearance on CBS Mornings to invite her to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Safe to say, it was a very emotional moment for all!

She was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on December 10, 2022 with appearances by Eric Church, Terri Clark, and Wynonna Judd.

Being in the Opry is a huge honor to McBrdye. She said, “The Opry is kind of the Hollywood – in all the best ways – of country music. This is the epitome … this is getting your face on Mount Rushmore, to me.”

Post Malone made his Opry debut on August 14, 2024.
