The Trioโ€™s Backstage Cover Of โ€œWhoโ€™s Your Daddy?โ€ Was Shared To Social Media

We all know the song, or at least its sentiment, but Toby Keithโ€™s hit 2002 song โ€œWhoโ€™s Your Daddy?โ€ has recently found a new sound with a new crowd.

Between shows on the Big Ass Stadium Tour on June 29, tour headliners Post Malone and Jelly Roll, as well as tour opener Chandler Walters, were spotted together singing the tune to a lilting acoustic guitar.

With a Bud Light in hand and Jelly Rollโ€™s arm over his shoulder, Post Malone and Jelly Roll sing a gentle rendition of the song as a trio with Chandler, who is manning the guitar.

Post Malone And Toby Keithโ€™s Connection

This is not the first time Post Malone has sung this song, as he memorably incorporated โ€œWhoโ€™s Your Daddy?โ€ into his 2024 set at Stagecoach.

Introducing the song during his country set at Stagecoach, he said, “I would like to dedicate this song to a beautiful man and a man I had the honor to know, his name is Toby Keith.”

While Post Malone is more closely affiliated with country music now, that wasnโ€™t always the case, as his origin as an artist is primarily in the rap scene.

However, his affinity for country music led to him meeting Toby Keith in 2016.

Post Malone and Toby Keith knew one another, with the two performing privately for SEAL Team 6, the Navy SEALs who killed Osama bin Laden, after a Toby show in 2016.

Recounting this moment, Post Malone posted on X, then Twitter, saying, โ€œRemember that time when me and Toby Keith jammed on his bus on his birthday with seal team 6?โ€

This moment has been immortalized in two photographs, with one shared by Toby to his Twitter, writing, โ€œThanks for comin’ out and seeing the show @postmalone.โ€

Then, thereโ€™s also this photo, shared by country artist George Birge:

Shortly after Toby died in 2024 at the age of 62, Post Malone performed Tobyโ€™s โ€œAs Good As I Once Was,โ€ while in Arlington, Texas. At the end of his performance, he told the crowd, โ€œRest in peace to Toby Keith, ladies and gentlemen.โ€
