Riley Green Doesn’t Recall Ever Having A Valentine

Riley Green may be the heartthrob of country music, but his Valentine's Day track record could use some work.

Riley Green Mustache You A Question: Will You Be My Valentine?

“If you wanna know the truth, it’s killin’ me not holdin’ you right now.”
– Riley Green’s “Don’t Mind If I Do”

Country artist Riley Green is a man of many talents…

He can sing, act, and can even hunt.

Throw in his iconic mustache, and he’s a bonafide great catch… if you can catch him.

It turns out that Riley’s priorities may be elsewhere when it comes to love, which would make sense coming from the man who sings “Damn Good Day To Leave.”

The song “Damn Good Day To Leave” — which is from his 2023 album, Ain’t My Last Rodeo; and was also featured on his 2024 EP, Way Out Here — states, “You picked a damn good day to leave me. Sittin’ here, cooler full of Keystone, nothin’ to do but fish all day long. Pocket full of three-day weekend money, ain’t a heartbreak cloud in the forecast, honey.”

He goes on to sing, “I guess I’ll miss ‘The Bachelorette.’ Well, what a shame, but Channel 8’s about to marathon John Wayne.”

With a sentiment like that, the Ella Langleys and Megan Moroneys of the world should certainly guard their hearts, and it just so happens that Riley has recently spoken about his knack for missing out on Valentine’s Day.

Riley Green Shares His Valentine’s Day Track Record

Speaking with ABC News Radio in the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, Riley Green shared some insight into his approach to holidays.

He began by admitting, “I’m definitely a procrastinator when it comes to any holidays. A lot of my Christmas gifts get wrapped in newspaper.”

From there, he then revealed:

“And I don’t know that I’ve celebrated a Valentine’s Day with a girl, but I would imagine that if I did, it would go a lot like that. It would be a last-minute type of flower from the grocery store type situation.”

For now, there are no known plans for Riley Green’s 2026 Valentine’s Day.

In the meantime, revisit his duets with Ella Langley, including the cinematic Western-themed music video for their breakout hit “You Look Like You Love Me,” which can be seen, here:
