Although she is going through family tragedy, the promos for her upcoming project are continuing to roll out. Riley even promoted the new show on her social media just three days before her mother’s death.

Her new project is a series for Amazon Prime called Daisy Jones and The Six. The show is based on a novel of the same name, which was written by Taylor Jenkins Reid. The book is about a rock band that had taken over the world at one point in time, but was riddled with love triangles, break ups, and most importably, amazing music. Their story is very reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac.

Daisy Jones and The Six is completely fictional, but it looks incredible and the cast is amazing. Riley plays Daisy Jones, and playing her bandmates are Sam Claflin (Billy Dunne), Josh Whitehouse (Eddie Roundtree), Suki Waterhouse (Karen Sirko), Sebastian Chacon (Warren Rhodes), Will Harrison (Graham Dunne), and Camila Morrone (Camila Dunne).

The trailer for the series just dropped on January 25th. It shows the band on stage, rehearsing, and in their every day lives over the years. It also shows a clip of Daisy doing a documentary-style interview what seems to be years after the band’s breakup.

Along with the drama, the trailer had plenty of music, which all sounded amazing. According to Yahoo Entertainment, Phoebe Bridgers wrote the music for the show, and the cast created an original album titled Aurora, which you can pre-order now. It will be released on March 3, the day the show premieres. Aurora will have 11 songs, but the whole series will have 29 original songs, the first of which we hear in the trailer. It’s called “Regret Me.”

It’s sad that Lisa Marie will never see this show come to fruition, but we know she is so incredibly proud of her daughter.

On February 15, a second trailer dropped, showcasing more of Riley’s singing as well as a complicated love triangle.

To help promote the show, Riley joined TikTok and posted her first video with her co-star Sam Clafin. In the video, they were saying hello to all their fans. Both Clafin and Keough kept speaking at the same time, causing them both to crack up!

It’s so nice to see Riley smile and laugh, especially so soon after she lost her mother.
