Guy Fieri and Sammy Hagar are facing a major business loss after two trucks carrying their tequila were hijacked.

Television personality Guy Fieri and former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar co-own the tequila brand Santo Spirits.

According to a report by PEOPLE, two trucks carrying their tequila were hijacked in Laredo, Texas, during the weekend of November 9.

The trucks were carrying a total of 4,040 cases of tequila, which equals 29,240 bottles. The total loss from the hijacking amounts to over $1 million for the company.

“We’ve worked so hard,” Fieri told the outlet. “This is our best year we’ve ever had in Santo… and now whatever’s on the shelf is all people are going to get.”

Fieri was informed about the heist on November 14, after signs pointed to the crime when neither of the trucks arrived at their planned destinations— one in California and the other in Pennsylvania.

Reports indicate that it’s believed the GPS system tracking the trucks’ movements during delivery was tampered with using a GPS emulator application.

As of now, there are no leads or confirmed reasons for why the trucks of tequila were taken. Fieri told PEOPLE that he believes the heist may be linked to the “momentum” that Santo Spirits has gained over the year.

“I mean, one is one. But now you’ve got to have double the amount of people to pull off the double heist,” he says. “It just seems so much riskier to take two trucks.”

Fieri also mentioned the workers at the distillery are “on a 24/7 schedule right now” to replace the stolen bottles.

However, the timing couldn’t be worse for the company, as the holiday season is their biggest time for sales and some of the product takes months to create.

“It’s like a movie — I never in a million years thought this was coming down the pike like this,” Fieri added, “but it’s real.”

A $10,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information about who stole the trucks.
