Kelly Clarkson Sings Sheryl Crow’s “All I Wanna Do” During Kellyoke Segment

Kelly Clarkson has proven time and time again that she can sing pretty much anything and do it just as well as the originals during her popular Kellyoke segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Over the years, she’s also made it clear that she has a major love for country music. She regularly covers both classic and modern-day hits from the genre.

She’s performed songs by Lainey Wilson, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton, and many more before.

The latest country hit that Clarkson tackled on her daytime talk show was during Tuesday’s episode (April 8). She took on Sheryl Crow’s 1994 hit, “All I Wanna Do.”

“All I Wanna Do” was Crow’s breakthrough hit when she released her debut album. The song peaked at number two on Billboard’s Hot 100, and in 1995, it won the Grammy for Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. To this day, it remains one of her most successful songs.

Sheryl Crow Responds To Kelly Clarkson’s Cover

Clarkson wowed the audience with her rendition of “All I Wanna Do.” She managed to put her own spin on the song while also staying true to its original style.

“I’m such a fan,” Clarkson told the audience. “[Sheryl Crow’s] been such a cool artist to me from the beginning.”

It turns out the feeling is mutual with Crow.

After the video of Clarkson’s rendition was shared, Crow responded with nothing but praise for the performance.

“Good grief,” Crow wrote in the video’s comment section. “@kellyclarkson could sing the damn phone book! I love this version better than mine!!”

Many fans agreed with Crow, also sharing their love for Clarkson’s cover in the comments.

“I love the original because it’s fun and different and funky, and I also really love this version because it’s so polished, but edgy and gritty and the same time and I think my head is going to explode and I love it,” one fan said.

“That’s a hard song to sing and make your own. Well done Kelly,” another wrote.
