After being air-lifted to a hospital with an infection taking over her respiratory system, the country music superstar issued a heartfelt statement to fans about the cancellation of her show dates.
Just an hour before she was set to perform last week, Tanya Tucker was taken to a South Dakota clinic for worsening symptoms of what perhaps they thought was a cold – upon arriving the decision was made to rush her to a Nashville-area hospital for treatment of pneumonia.
Due to the uncertain circumstances surrounding her unexpected departure from the tour, it was originally reported that all of her upcoming shows were cancelled, but that has since changed.
In bed with what must be a very severe upper respiratory infection, Tucker offered these words of consolation to her affected fans via press release:
“I cannot apologize enough to all the fans who bought tickets and were looking forward to seeing us on the road. I just feel terrible, but I’ll get even worse if I don’t take care of myself. I love you all.“
As of this recent update, the country legend known for hits like “Delta Dawn”, “Soon”, “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane”, and “Strong Enough To Bend” is only postponing nine shows – not canceling them.
We are praying for Tanya to have a speedy recovery and are keeping her in our thoughts.
