After many years of opening their doors earlier and earlier for Black Friday shopping, three big name stores have announced they will be completely closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, and is known for having some of the best shopping deals of the year. In the past, big name stores would open right at midnight but after a while the trend was to open earlier and earlier on Thanksgiving night.
But it seems that the trend is going back to having stores open on actual Black Friday.
According to WCYB, Target, Kohl’s, and Best Buy have “announced that they will once again be closing all of their stores on Thanksgiving Day.”
Instead, the stores will be offering Black Friday deals online throughout the week of Thanksgiving.
In fact, Target is actually have seven weeks of Black Friday deals. According to Axios, “Target’s first weeklong Black Friday deals are now available through Oct. 15 with new discounts debuting each Sunday through Thanksgiving week.”
