Taylor Swift Makes Return To Country Music With No.1 Hit

After announcing she would be permanently parting ways from country music in a Facebook live session back in August 2014, fans thought Taylor Swift had completely turned her back on country music for good. Swift made her return to country music (and music in general) with the help of Little Big Town.

The country quartet released their latest single, “Better Man,” originally stating they were given the song by “a young girl in Nashville who wrote it by herself.” The young girl proved later to be none other than the former country singer.

“We didn’t want you to have any subtext there other than to hear the song,” Karen Fairchild said in a press release. She goes on to say Swift reaching out to them to record her deeply personal song was “the greatest honor” the songwriter could have bestowed upon them.

The collaboration between both parties proved a successful one, with “Better Man” quickly soaring to No.1 on iTunes and rave reviews following their performance of the break-up ballad at the 50th Annual CMA Awards.
