BIAS Of Team Gwen Covers “Bless The Broken Road” As A Member Of The Voice Top 9

Grant Bias, who simply goes by his stage name BIAS, established himself as a singer to watch during his blind audition performance for Season 24. He covered former coach Blake Shelton‘s song “God’s Country.”

BIAS got new coach Reba McEntire to turn her chair. He also got Shelton’s own wife, Gwen Stefani, to turn her chair for him.

In the end, BIAS decided to join Team Gwen!

BIAS has continued to impress with covers from artists such as Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, and Johnny Cash. He performed Cash’s “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” as a member of the Top 12.

Viewers were thrilled by BIAS’ Cash cover, and voted for him to advance to the Top 9.

BIAS Showcases His Softer Side In “Bless The Broken Road” Cover

As a member of the Top 9, BIAS’ slowed things down a bit and opted for a more tender approach. He performed “Bless the Broken Road,” which was first recorded by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1994.

Many other artists have covered the song, most notably Rascal Flatts. Their 2005 version was a #1 hit on the Hot Country Songs chart. Its songwriters, Marcus Hummon, Bobby Boyd, and Jeff Hanna later won a Grammy for Best Country Song thanks to Rascal Flatts’ recording.
