According to Harris County Constable Mark Herman, officers in Texas pulled over and arrested a man who was driving around with a lit barbecue pit.

“The Precinct 4 Constable’s Office is the largest Constable’s Office in the United States and proudly serves the citizens of north Harris County, TX as a full-service law enforcement agency,” the office wrote on Facebook.

The officers said they were responding to reports about a bizarre situation happening at the 21400 block of Aldine Westfield Road, so they drove out to take a look around.

Sure enough, the officers found the reported suspect and pulled him over. The barbecue pit was laying in the back of the man’s truck fully lit, and according to the officers, causing a large fire.

“The driver was identified as Jay Rojas who displayed signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted and it was discovered that he was intoxicated,” the office reported.

The officers further explained that Rojas was intoxicated with cocaine, as well as in possession of it.

He was quickly charged with being in possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Harris County Jail where he is currently being held.

The bail and court information “have not been set at this time.”
