The Voice is officially returning tonight, Monday, September 23, and in keeping with tradition, the coaches have come together to start the season with a group performance.

The Voice Returns for Season 26

Earlier in the spring, The Voice announced the coaches who would be seated in the iconic red spinning chairs for Season 26, and it features a mix of familiar faces and newcomers making their coaching debut.

Gwen Stefani is returning after a break following her non-consecutive eight-season stint on the show, and is joined by fellow returning coach Reba McEntire, who secured her first win with her team member Asher Havon in Season 25.

Completing this season’s judging panel are Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg, both making their full-time debut as coaches. Though new to the coaching role, they aren’t strangers to The Voice— Bublé was Team Blake’s mentor in Season 3, and Snoop Dogg served as a Mega Mentor for all four teams during Season 20.

The Voice Coaches Kick Off Season 26 Premiere By Belting Out an Eagles Classic

Giving fans a preview of the fun in store this season, the coaches came together for a pre-premiere performance, singing the Eagles’ 1979 hit “Heartache Tonight.”

Snoop Dogg starts the song by singing the first lines, with Michael Bublé joining in shortly after. Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani provide harmonies throughout, and soon, all four judges come together to sing the iconic lyrics as a group.

This isn’t the first time the four coaches have performed together, however. Last month, they teamed up for the first time with a performance of “Reach Out I’ll Be There.”

A group performance has become a tradition for The Voice coaches each season, and fans look forward to it every time. Last season’s coaches (John Legend, Reba McEntire, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay) performed Jackie DeShannon’s “Put a Little Love in Your Heart” to kick off season 25.

The premiere of Season 26 of The Voice airs tonight, September 23, at 8 p.m. on NBC.
