Following months of rumors that she was fighting with the other coaches, an executive for the show has finally come clean on what they’re doing with the wildest of the coaches.
While Miley Cyrus has appeared on the show in the past as an advisor to Blake Shelton, this current season is her first time lending her skills as a coach…but with a huge number of people swearing off watching because of her, will The Voice executives choose to keep her or cut her loose?
In a new statement released by the president of NBC Entertainment’s Alternative & Reality Group (which manages the show), Paul Telegdy reveals who will be taking a seat in the four big red chairs on the next season.
“We can’t wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to season 12.”
The truth is, social media delivered such an overwhelming demand for Gwen Stefani to return to her chair that the TV bosses couldn’t overlook it…and they chose to replace Cyrus.
But does that mean that she’s gone for good??
As it turns out, ‘Voice’ execs had another trick up their sleeve and, much to many people’s surprise, have contracted Cyrus for another season of The Voice in the fall of 2017.
In tweet from the vocalist and TV star, she is overcome with joy for the news and is excited to share it with her fans.
