The War And Treaty Postpone Performance Due To “Sudden Family Emergency”
CMA and ACM Award-nominated duo The War and Treaty had to postpone their Thursday night (February 27) show, citing a “family emergency” as the reason.
The duo announced the postponement in a post on their Instagram Story. Their statement read:
“We hate to post this but due to a family emergency we are unable to perform at @bluebirdcafetn. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please know this is not something we take lightly—your love, energry, and support mean everything to us, and we were so looking forward to sharing this night with you. We appreciate your understanding, prayers and well wishes during this time. We promise to make it up to you as soon as we can. With love and gratitude Tanya & Michael.”
The show was supposed to be a one-night celebration of Black History Month in coordination with BMI and the ACM.
The ACM also shared the news of the show’s postponement, writing on X:
“Due to a family emergency, The War and Treaty event tonight is postponed. We will announce a new date at a future time. Please keep Michael and Tanya in your thoughts as they navigate this difficult time.”
The War and Treaty were set to perform at the Bluebird Cafe, one of the most iconic venues in “Music City.” The Bluebird also shared a message about the postponed performance, revealing that Nashville and Outer Banks star Charles Esten stepped up to perform that night.
“Bluebird fans, we regret to inform you that our friends from The War & Treaty have had a sudden family emergency and are unable to perform for tonight’s 9 p.m. show,” the Bluebird said. “Fortunately, however, the fabulous @charlesesten has stepped in and will be here with some songwriter friends to save the day!”
