Toby Keith To Be Honored With Special Award At People’s Choice Country Awards

Toby Keith is going to receive the Country Icon Award at the first-ever People’s Choice Country Awards.

Hold on to your seats, country music lovers! There’s a new awards show in town! The well-known People’s Choice Awards is expanding to including an awards show specifically dedicated to country music—People’s Choice Country Awards.

Hosted by the country music group Little Big Town, the two-hour People’s Choice Country Awards will air live on September 28, 2023, from the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville, Tennessee.

Little Big Town is honored to host the event stating:

“We are honored to host the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards, especially on one of our most beloved stages in the entire world. We look forward to welcoming so many of our talented peers to take the Opry stage for this magical night of music.”

Blake Shelton will be presenting Toby Keith with the Country Music Icon Award.

The Oklahoma-native will receive the Country Icon Award from fellow Okie and former NBC star from The Voice, Blake Shelton, who will be making a return to NBC for this special occasion.

If anyone deserves recognition for being a country music icon, it’s Toby Keith.

Keith is a dynamite performer to say the least! With 42 Top-10 hits, 32 #1 singles, and more than 10 billion streams, the “Red Solo Cup” singer has been more than successful in the country music industry. It looks like he is back in the game after a well-deserved break following his cancer diagnosis, and we are excited to see where his career takes him next!
