For the entire upcoming NFL season, military members assigned overseas will have the opportunity to stream every NFL game for free.
Thanks to the American Forces Network (AFN), a broadcasting service dedicated to supporting U.S. military personnel stationed overseas, every NFL game this season will be available for free streaming.
This generous initiative ensures that the brave men and women serving our country, no matter how far from home they may be, can watch their favorite teams compete, allowing them to stay connected to the action and keep up with all the excitement of the NFL.
“The NFL’s continued partnership and support of U.S. military audiences overseas has been tremendous,” said AFN Broadcast Center Director Jim Alexander in a Department of Defense news release.
“The game access the NFL has provided U.S. service members and their families this year is beyond measure and so appreciated by our military forces serving overseas,” Alexander added.
The free access for active military members will extend all the way through to the Super Bowl, making sure they don’t miss any of the season’s most important moments, from regular-season matchups to the championship game.
Beyond just live games, this free access also offers exclusive features.
“In addition to all 272 regular-season matchups and the post-season playoffs, this year’s coverage on AFN Now includes access to the NFL Network’s own content, archived games, highlights and analysis, all available anytime,” Kim Antos, chief of AFN Digital Media, said in a statement.
Service members will be able to stream NFL games on up to four devices simultaneously, including smartphones, tablets, and streaming devices like Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon’s Fire Stick. They can also download the AFN Now app free of charge to access these games and other content, such as coverage of the NBA, MLB, WWE, and the U.S. Open.
