Walmart Sells Christmas Sweater With Drug Reference

You won’t believe what Walmart had for sale on their website in Canada. Apparently it was a sweater featuring Santa Claus, who appeared to be doing lines of cocaine and at the bottom of the shirt it said, “Let it snow.”

Walmart Takes The Shirt Offline & Issues A Statement

The sweater was sold by a third party vendor on Walmart Marketplace, a place where you can sell your own products on Walmart’s website and has caused quite a commotion. Walmart representatives took down the sweater and put out a public statement on the whole ordeal.

“These sweaters, sold by a third-party seller on Walmart.ca, do not represent Walmart’s values and have no place on our website. We have removed these products from our marketplace. We apologize for any unintended offence this may have caused,” the statement said, Global News reported.

It wasn’t clear if people reported the product or how it got flagged to be removed but before it did people were making some serious jokes about it on the internet. One person commented on Twitter saying “This is the best ugly Christmas sweater copy ever written.”

More Christmas Sweaters Were Taking Down

Due to all the media attention it caused Walmart to look over all their sweaters and they ended up removing a few more that appeared to be out of line.

Walmart has not had any further comments on it.
