Paramount+ has exciting news for Wynonna Judd fans! They have recently announced the upcoming release of Wynonna Judd: Between Hell and Hallelujah, a documentary that follows the legendary country singer as she embarks on the next phase of her life and career.
The film is set to premiere exclusively on the streaming service in the United States on April 26th, with international audiences in Canada, the UK, Australia, and several European countries being able to watch it starting on July 19th.

The documentary offers an intimate and unfiltered look into the life of Wynonna Judd as she copes with the loss of her mother, Naomi Judd.
From the decision to continue with The Judds: The Final Tour, to candid moments on stage and behind the scenes, the documentary captures it all.
Not only do we see the sold-out nationwide tour, but we also get personal stories from Wynonna’s friends and fellow artists, including Ashley McBryde, Brandi Carlile, Faith Hill, Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, Martina McBride, and Trisha Yearwood.

In addition to the concert footage, we also see intimate moments of Wynonna spending time with her family and animals on the farm, as she continues to process her grief. Wynonna has said that the documentary is “real and raw” and hopes that it will help others choose life.
“It’s real and it’s raw. It’s celebration and sadness,” Judd said in a statement. “It’s all of the people who I leaned on during one of the toughest seasons of my life. I wanted the opportunity to tell my story in my voice. If doing so helps one person out there choose life, then I am grateful,” Billboard reported her saying.
Following the documentary’s release, fans can also look forward to CMT Presents The Judds: Love Is Alive – The Final Concert, a two-hour special concert event featuring Wynonna and her tourmates, Ashley McBryde, Brandi Carlile, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, and Martina McBride.

The concert is a re-creation of The Judds’ 1991 Farewell Tour, which Wynonna made history with by performing at the Murphy Center at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).
The concert will premiere on CMT on April 29th and promises to be an unforgettable event. Sandbox Productions CEO, Jason Owen, who produced both the concert special and documentary, has said that the opportunity to recreate The Judds’ farewell concert was beyond inspiring.
Wynonna Judd: Between Hell and Hallelujah is a joint production between MTV Entertainment Studios and Hello Sunshine, in partnership with Sandbox Productions.
Executive producers include Reese Witherspoon, Sara Rea (Hello Sunshine), Wynonna Judd, Cactus Moser, Jason Owen (Sandbox Productions), and Bruce Gillmer, Margaret Comeaux, and Leslie Fram (MTV Entertainment Studio).
