Yellowstone star Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton, revealed that she and the cast had a few “scary” encounters while filming.
After returning from an extended hiatus, the second half of season 5 of the show officially aired in November.
With only two episodes left until the series finale, the show has packed in plenty of twists and turns as it wraps up everyone’s storylines.

Season 5B of Yellowstone was different in several ways from what fans were used to. One major change was the absence of Kevin Costner, who played John Dutton, the Dutton family patriarch.
Another change, which some fans may not have noticed, was the filming location. Instead of Montana, the show was filmed in Texas at Taylor Sheridan’s 6666 Ranch.
The switch to Texas brought new challenges for the cast that they hadn’t faced before. In an interview with CinemaBlend, Kelly Reilly and her co-star Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) shared the tough moments that came with filming in Texas.
“There’s a lot more snakes in Texas,” Reilly said. “We had a snake wrangler, and they found a bunch of them. All the big rattlesnakes and the tarantulas.”
“Like, I’m from South London,” she continued. “Like, the most scary thing in England is a stinging nettle.”
Not only did the cast and crew have to share the set with some terrifying guests, but they also had to endure unbearable weather conditions during filming.
“It’s hot as hell there too,” Hauser added, and Reilly agreed. “I mean, it was 110. Unbelievable.”
Hauser even mentioned that people were losing weight because of the extreme heat.
“You can’t even keep weight on either. I mean, everybody lost weight out there,” he said. “We were riding and chasing cows. I mean, you’re just every day, trying to drink as much water as you can. Salt tablets.”
Despite the challenges, Hauser said it was a great experience to film on the famous ranch.
“But, very cool, though, to be out there in 6666. I mean, it’s a legendary ranch.”
