Zac Brown Band formed in 2002, and while band members have come and gone, the band has always had a large amount of members, while always fronted by Zac Brown.

On Thursday (Nov 3), Zac Brown Band announced they are officially welcoming a new member to their band, Caroline Jones.

Brown himself said, “It feels like Caroline has been part of Zac Brown Band for years. She has done a few tours with us and has also been in the recording studio creating with us. She is family and a badass musician. She sings the highest and works the hardest.”

Jones also took to social media to announce the exciting news. She wrote, “After 3 years as their opening act and 2 years touring in the band, I am honored to be joining the Zac brown Band an official member. Exciting (and busy!) times ahead as I performs and create with ZBB while continuing to build my own career.

She told Entertainment Tonight, “Joining Zac Brown Band as an official member is the greatest honor of my career so far. To be validated not only as a singer and songwriter, but as a musician and member of the family, means more to me than I can put into words.”

Jones becomes the Zac Brown Band’s very first female band member, but it’s not like this will be the first time on stage with the band. She’s performed with them at the 2022 CMA Fest, the 2021 CMA Awards, and when they opened for the Rolling Stones at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium!

You can see her in their “Same Boat” performance at the CMA Awards from last year.
