With her name being a constant staple in the media since she waltzed onto the set of Season 4 of Dancing With the Stars back in 2005, you may think you already know everything about American sweetheart Julianne Hough. 1. She Played A Gryffindor In Harry Potter

 

At just 11 years old, the adorable blonde made her acting debut playing classmate to the famous wizard. In honor of the book’s 20th anniversary, Hough took to Instagram to share a throwback from her time on set.

2. She Was In A Band With Brother Derek & Mark Ballas

At age 12, Julianne joined brother Derek and fellow DWTS professional Mark Ballas in dancing pop band, 2B1G (also known as two boys one girl).

3. She Helped Choreograph Gwen Stefani’s Video For “Wind It Up”

A year after being named the youngest professional to win DWTS, Hough helped choreograph Stefani’s music video for “Wind It Up.” While the video follows no strict plot line, many of the scenes through the colorful video are inspired by the classic film The Sound of Music.

4. She Dated Country Star Chuck Wicks

Chuck Wicks and Hough began dating back in August 2008 after meeting on DWTS, remaining a couple for about a year. Five months after the pair separated, Hough began dating American Idol host Ryan Seacrest.

5. She Is The Youngest ‘Dancer’ To Win ‘DWTS’

 

Teamed up with Olympic Gold Medalist Apollo Ohno on her first season on the dancing competition series, the pair won the coveted Mirror Ball trophy. Hough, only 18 at the time, became the youngest professional dancer to win the show.

6. ‘DWTS’ Wasn’t The First Competition Series She Appeared On

Prior to her joining DWTS, the talented youngster was featured as one of the “Million Dollar Dancers” on Show Me the Money, joining ABC’s competition series as a professional the following year. 

7. She Suffers From Endometriosis

 

Many would be surprised to find out Hough suffers from Endometriosis which causes intense pain in a woman’s uterus. The blonde beauty recently partnered up with AbbVie on a campaign to raise awareness of the painful disease.
