In an unexpected wave of upset with unseemly gossip columns, this country superstar pulls no punches when addressing rumors about himself that simply aren’t true.

Taking to his favorite social media site, Twitter, country singer and longtime coach on The Voice, Blake Shelton, unleashes a series of tweets slamming several publications that have spread untruths about him and a politician – claiming that they had a “secret meeting.”

“I can’t even fathom the gossip I read about myself anymore,” he says in the first of a four-part Twitter rant. “Literally walked into a restaurant WITH MY FAMILY…bumped into a politician that I’ve never even met before, said hello and took pictures…”

The cause for Shelton’s tweets seems to be a chance encounter he had with an unnamed politician recently from which people spun a story that doesn’t make any sense to him – and apparently has caused people to hate him.

“…And now according to the internet, we were hanging out or having some big secret meeting in a PUBLIC restaurant!!!!!! WTF?!!!” Shelton continued, in part. “I don’t do politics no matter WHAT you’ve read about me and how it’s been spun. And THATS the TRUTH from ME. And if you can find it in your heart to hate me for that then so be it…”

We will not be suggesting who the politician would be, nor will we be supplying links to articles spreading untruths about this major country music personality – and from the remainder of his tweets, it appears he has had just about enough of the gossip and lies.
