Quintavious Performs “Something In The Water” By Carrie Underwood On American Idol
After making it through a brutal series of eliminations in Hollywood Week, Quintavious advanced to the Top 24 on American Idol. As a result, he got the chance to travel to Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii, where he delivered another amazing performance.
Quintavious originally impressed the Idol judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry with his cover of CeCe Winans’ “Alabaster Box.” He’s been a fan-favorite contestant ever since.

When it came time for his Hawaii performance, Quintavious performed a song by one of CeCe Winans’ former collaborators, Carrie Underwood. (She and Winans sang “Great Is Thy Faithfulness for Underwood’s gospel album, My Savior).
Quintavious covered Underwood’s faith-based single “Something in the Water.” Underwood released the track in 2014, and it reached the #1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart. It also reached the #1 spot on the Hot Christian Songs chart.
Underwood later won a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance for the song.
Fans React To Quintavious’ Hawaii Performance
Needless to say, Quintavious was under a lot of pressure when he stepped on stage to sing “Something in the Water.” But he rose to the occasion and delivered a soaring rendition of the Carrie Underwood song.
