While the Miami Dolphins were playing against the New England Patriots this past weekend, nearly a dozen vehicles in the Hard Rock Stadium parking lot went up in flames before firefighters were able to extinguish them.
The area of the parking lot where it happened was a place where there was a pre-game tailgate party and police believe one of the party-goers pushed a grill underneath a vehicle before heading in to see the game.
The fire started after most of the fans had gone inside the stadium and sat down to watch the game.
The first vehicle caught on fire and then ignited several cars around it as well, causing a massive blazing fire and producing smoke clouds so high that it could be seen from fans sitting in the stadium.
Uh oh! Smoke coming from the parking lot of the NE Corner of @HardRockStadium. Hopefully all is good at the Tailgate! #Dolphins #Miami #nfl @ONLYinDADE pic.twitter.com/JcQ3ZnXdRz

Photos and videos shared on social media showed multiple cars fully engulfed in flames with people standing around watching as the firefighters put out the fire.
It was said that people could hear the loud popping of the tires as the heat made them explode.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, however, 11 vehicles were destroyed and several more were damaged.
WSVN reports it took firefighters a little over 30 minutes to put out the flames. Police are ruling the incident as accidental and no one will be charged for the incident.
