21-year-old actress Isabel May has received great acclaim for her performance in the new Yellowstone prequel series 1883. She plays Elsa Dutton, the daughter of James and Margaret Dutton.

Real-life country music power couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill play James and Margaret. As the parents of three daughters, Tim and Faith quickly formed a bond with Isabel and the young actor Audie Rick, who plays their son, John Dutton.

Isabel previously spoke about the special relationship she shares with Tim. She told CinemaBlend that they had an instant “connection” upon meeting.

It took very little to care deeply about him, and to feel this paternal kind of warmth emanating from him,” she said.

As a recent guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Isabel spoke about how much she adores the people who play her parents on 1883.

First of all, Isabel revealed she had no idea who Tim and Faith were before they started working together on 1883. Because of this, she said:

I just got to get to know them as just human…they’re just human beings. There was a blank slate. My goodness are they just the loveliest people I think I’ve ever met. I immediately fell in love with them.”

The actress also detailed how Faith typically behaved on set. She said she was a total “goofball.

Faith Hill is one of the kindest people I think I have ever met in my life,” Isabel shared. “And she’s a goofball. She’s such a goofball, oh my goodness. She makes animal noises, weird animal noises…she’s so gifted at it too!”

Tim was tuning in to Isabel and Kelly‘s chat via video call. He laughed as Isabel described how funny Faith can be.
