2017 CMA Award For Vocal Group Of The Year Announced

It seems as though every category at the 51st Annual CMA Awards is stacked with incredible artists, but none more so than Vocal Group of the Year.

Every one of these nominees definitely deserves to be in this category thanks to their incredible contributions to the genre this year. Each group released new albums, four of which reached number one on the Top Country Albums chart and all of them charted in the top five.

The nominees for Vocal Group of the Year are as follows.

Lady Antebellum
Little Big Town
Old Dominion
Rascal Flatts
Zac Brown Band

Each group waited patiently to hear Lea Michele, Dustin Lynch, and  Brett Eldredge read the envelope and reveal that Little Big Town was the winner of the award!

This is the sixth straight year the country quartet has taken home the award, which ties the record that fellow nominee Rascal Flatts set, winning from 2003-2008. They released their highly anticipated album The Breaker on February 24, 2017, and went number one on the country albums chart. The Breaker includes the singles “Better Man,” “Happy People,” and “When Someone Stops Loving You.”

Congratulations to Little Big Town on this well-deserved award!
