In February 2021, Aaron Rodgers was awarded the NFL’s Most Valuable Player Award and accepted the honor virtually. In his acceptance speech, he revealed that he had gotten engaged the year prior.
“It’s an honor to win this award for the third time. 2020 was definitely a crazy year, filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing memorable moments. 180 straight days of having my nose hairs scraped. Playing for very little fans or no stands the entire season, I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career,” he said.

Just like that, all anyone could talk about was who his mystery fiancée was, not one of the highest awards in football he had just received for the third time in his career. Just a few days before the NFL Honors ceremony, E! confirmed he was dating actress Shailene Woodley.
Since the actress and the football player finally went public, anytime they adventure out together, it makes headlines. This past weekend was no different!
The couple attended opening day at the Kentucky Derby, something that Rodgers has been doing for 13 years. He usually brings a good number of current and former teammates with him, but this year his group was narrowed down to just a few couples, including Woodley’s frequent co-star Miles Teller and his wife, Kelleigh.
Photos of the group were posted to Kelleigh and Aiyda Cobb’s Instagrams. Aiyda is the wife of Randall Cobb, who currently plays for the Houston Texans. Cobb and Rodgers were Green Bay Packers teammates from 2011-2018.
