Actor Luke Perry Hospitalized After “Massive Stroke”

The longtime beloved actor who won hearts with starring roles in shows like Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke just yesterday on Wednesday, February 27th, 2019.

According to a multitude of reports, including one from The Hollywood Reporter, Perry had a stroke on Wednesday afternoon and was transported to the hospital by medics after receiving a call for “medical assistance.”

A rep for Perry, Arnold Robinson, told the news outlet that the actor is currently still under observation at a local area hospital.

52-year-old Luke Perry has led a long career in acting with many notable roles including his best-known as Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210 alongside Shannen Doherty, Tori Spelling, and Jennie Garth.

Taking to social media, Doherty shared a still image of a moment on screen between their characters and sent well-wishes his way.

“My friend. Holding you tight and giving you my strength. You got this.”

Another co-star from 90210, Ian Ziering, also spoke out in support of his friend and fellow actor, saying “No words can express what my heart feels hearing today’s shocking news. Let us all say a prayer for his speedy recovery.”

Beyond just primetime television series, Perry also starred in some big movies and even took on the role of Lane Frost in the biopic of his life 8 Seconds.
