There’s no bigger red carpet event in country music than the annual CMA Awards. Country artists often spend a great deal of time crafting the perfect outfit and look for the awards, aiming to find a spot on the best-dressed lists that come out in the hours following the ceremony.
Well when it comes to the 51st CMA Awards, which took place on Wednesday (November 8), there were artists whose red carpet looks clearly stood out from all the rest. In case you missed the pre-show footage, or if you simply want to look back on all of the gorgeous gowns and suave suits, we’ve found some photos of 13 of the best-dressed stars at the CMA Awards!
Look through all of the photos, then tell us who you personally think was the best-dressed star this year!
Reba McEntire
Reba McEntire is a country music legend, and a legend on the red carpet! She looked simply ravishing this year in a two-tone gray and black dress with plenty of rhinestones!
Scotty McCreery
Scotty McCreery knows that sometimes simplicity is best when it comes to dressing for red carpet events. The “Five More Minutes” singing looking dashing in a classic black suit with a white dress shirt and matching black tie.
Jessie James Decker
Jessie James Decker took the term “red carpet” literally when she picked her dress for the CMA Awards. The mom-to-be (she’s expecting baby #3…a boy!) was absolutely glowing in the red, off-the-shoulder dress she wore, which she accented with simple accessories.
Chris Young
The newly-inducted Opry member dressed up his traditional black suit with a bit of sparkle on the jacket. It was flashy enough to catch the eye, but far from overwhelming. Well done Chris Young!
Brett Eldredge
Are you seeing a theme for the fellas at this year’s CMA Awards? Like the other guys already mentioned on this list, Brett Eldredge opted for the classic black suit with white dress shirt. But he stepped up his game a bit by wearing a jacket with a subtle pattern and accented the whole look with an oversized bowtie.
Tim McGraw & Faith Hill
As always, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill dressed to the nines for the CMA Awards this year. McGraw added a touch of color to his ensemble by pairing a faded red jacket with his black dress pants and matching cowboy hat. As for Hill, she was sparkling like a diamond in her glitzy and glam gown!
Jon Pardi
This year was also all about subtle suit details, and Jon Pardi followed along with the trend. We were getting some old-school Western vibes from his suit, which featured some slightly sparkly floral embroidery on the front and sleeves of his jacket, and a little bit on the legs of his pants as well.
Luke Bryan
Was Luke Bryan trying to match his suit to the CMA Awards‘ color scheme? If so, then he did a spot-on job! His polka dot tie and his gray pocket square tied the entire look together!
Miranda Lambert
Miranda Lambert is no stranger to awards show best-dressed lists, and it’s because she keeps coming out with looks like this one! The Female Vocalist of the Year winner was another artist who proved that simplicity is key, as she accented her delicate gown with small accessories such as a black belt and silver bracelet.
Thomas Rhett & Lauren Akins
The new parents of two both went for a timeless look when they chose their ensembles for the CMA Awards this year. Thomas Rhett followed the black suit trend and spiced his look up with the addition of a green bow tie and pocket square. As for his lovely wife Lauren Akins, she wore an elegant black gown which she paired with a rich red lip….a truly “Unforgettable” look!
Carrie Underwood
No surprise that Carrie Underwood found a spot on our best-dressed list this year! The ten-time CMA Awards host had heads turning in her deep blue, off the shoulder gown.
We always love Underwood’s red carpet looks, but this may be her best one yet. She seriously took our breath away!
Now that you’ve seen our list, we want to hear who you think the best-dressed artist was at this year’s CMA Awards!
