Morgan Wade was beside herself with excitement over the collaboration, saying, “When @cmt invites you to perform with one of your musical heroes, you can’t say “YES!!!” fast enough.”

Ingrid Andress had a similar reaction, writing, “on the floor, never going to recover bc I get to perform with the iconic @alanis and the rest of these badass women at the @cmt awards…”

The audience erupted in applause as the five women took to the stage, wearing mostly black and standing in a line. When the opening chords of “You Oughta Know” rang out…we knew we were in for a treat. The country singers started off first, followed by Alanis.

As the song progressed, each of the women took turns singing lead vocals, showcasing their unique styles and abilities while still staying true to the song’s original spirit.  Together, the five women created a truly unforgettable performance, with each bringing their own unique perspective and voice to one of the most iconic songs of the 90s.

As the song came to a close, the audience rose to their feet, giving the women a well-deserved standing ovation. It was clear that this collaboration had been something truly special, and one that would be talked about for years to come.
