Millions of people tune in to Jeopardy! every night to watch some of the smartest people in the country battle it out on the trivia game show.
This is why so many people were up in arms after Monday night’s (Nov. 18) episode.
Contestant Beverly chose the “Biopic” category and host Alex Trebek read the card while a video played for the contestants.
Trebek said, “In A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, beloved children’s TV show host Mr. Rogers is played by this beloved actor.”
An accompanying video of the actor who plays Mr. Rogers in the upcoming film – Tom Hanks – in a scene from the movie played for the contestants. All they had to do was identify who was playing Mr. Rogers – and they had his face right in front of them!
All three contestants – Andrew, Beverly, and Kevin – just stared at the board. Beverly eventually buzzed in, but was too late.
“The film opens Friday. That’s Tom Hanks. Not quickly enough, Beverly,” Trebek said.

After this clip was tweeted out, Twitter went wild. People could not understand that these three people didn’t know that was Tom Hanks, who is often referred to as “America’s Dad.”
