Emmy Russell Announces That She Will Be An Opener For Megan Moroney On Tour
Emmy Russell became well-known during Season 22 of American Idol for her emotional performances that tugged at the heartstrings of many viewers.
After her audition, where she sang her original song “Skinny” about her struggles with an eating disorder in her younger years, fans began to admire her honesty and openness on national television. She went on to make it to the Top 5 of the competition.
It was no surprise that Emmy’s singing and songwriting skills were good enough to take her far on the show, especially since she is the granddaughter of country music legend Loretta Lynn.
Following her time on Idol, Emmy has stayed busy sharing her music and song covers on social media for her fans. She’s also performed live at major venues, like the historic Grand Ole Opry.
And in a big life update, Emmy recently welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with her boyfriend Tyler Ward just over a week ago.

She recently shared on social media that she will be joining Megan Moroney on her Am I Okay? Tour for two special nights.
Emmy will be the show’s opener on April 11th and 12th.
Friends, fans, and family couldn’t contain their excitement in Emmy’s announcement post. They flooded the comments with loving messages for her.
