Wildlife warrior Bindi Irwin has two reasons to celebrate today (July 24). Not only is it her 21st birthday, she also got engaged!
The world was introduced to Bindi the day she born born 21 years ago. Her parents, wildlife conservationists and television personalities Steve and Terri Irwin, shared so much of their life with fans – including Bindi’s birth.

Since then, and especially since Steve’s unexpected passing in 2006, Bindi has won over hearts all over the world. Her passion for continuing her father’s legacy is truly inspiring. She, her mom, and her brother Robert live and work at the Australia Zoo.

Over the past six years, another person has joined their family – Bindi’s now fiancé Chandler Powell.

On the evening of her 21st birthday, Bindi shared on Instagram that she “said ‘yes’ and ‘forever’ to the love of my life.”

Congratulatory posts began flooding in from friends, Bindi’s brother, and now Bindi’s mom has reacted to the news on Twitter, even revealing how she thinks her late husband would feel about the engagement.
“Best day ever! Chandler asked and beautiful [Bindi] said yes. I am so very happy, and I know Steve would be too. Congratulations!!” she captioned a photo of her and Robert with the happy couple.
