Before every episode of The Voice, the four coaches walk the red carpet and talk to the press about pretty much anything and everything. As of late, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson have done interviews together, while Adam Levine and Alicia Keys also join forces for interviews.
Before one of this week’s episodes, Extra TV’s Renee Bargh caught up with Shelton and Clarkson, and asked about their upcoming Mother’s Day plans. Since Clarkson and her husband work so much, she said that just hanging out around the house with their four kids would be the perfect Mother’s Day for her.
Bargh brought up what Shelton said he’d do last year for girlfriend Gwen Stefani – make pancakes that spelled out “Happy Mother’s Day.”
While he said he didn’t exactly do that, but instead spell out “#1 Mom” with pancakes, Bargh asked how in the world would he top that this year.
“Waffles,” he said. “It is going to be a huge waffle, because you can only make the squares, so it has to be like Legos. I have to make a crap load of waffles.”
Clarkson said that Stefani won’t eat the waffles because she eats super healthy, and Shelton joked, “She’ll take pictures of the food and then I eat it.”
