Blake Shelton quipped that his phone was “smoking” after being featured in a Super Bowl commercial alongside Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine.
In an advertisement for T-Mobile, the three jokingly reenacted how Shelton and Stefani began dating just over five years ago. In the commercial, Stefani and Levine’s bad cellular connection leads to the Maroon 5 frontman misunderstanding Stefani’s desired qualities in a potential match. Of course, Levine then sets up the “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” singer with an unpolished Shelton.

“Of all the things that I’ve been fortunate enough to have happen in my life, I don’t know that my phone has ever erupted — I mean my phone was smoking last night,” Shelton revealed to Entertainment Weekly.
Shelton also joked that he realized that he discovered no one watched him win awards in the past. The “God’s Country” singer stated:
“You realize, ‘Oh my God, nobody has ever really watched me win an award.’ I know that now. But everybody watches the Super Bowl. Now it’s confirmed: I know every contact in my phone was watching that game.”
