County music singer Brantley Gilbert has been known for his “rough around the edges” exterior. However, it seems that the country music’s resident badass simply wants to be loved and appreciated for who he is, as he profoundly explained in his song, “Outlaw In Me.”

Performing at the Honda Center in Los Angeles, Gilbert gave an incredible performance as he sang the rough and tough love song, expressing his desire for a woman who understands who he really is. His deep, raspy voice won over the crowd as he boldly sang, “My baby don’t try to change me. Cuz she knows, this is the way that God made me.”

The song is featured on Gilbert’s album, The Devil Don’t Sleep, which kicked off a new chapter in Gilbert’s life and career.
In a press release he said, “Even though it’s my life, even though some of what I write about is very specific to what happens to me, I think the challenges, the places where we figure things out are all the same — no matter what we’re facing, realizations all mean the same things.”
