The 2023 CMT Music Awards were held on Sunday (April 2) at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown served as the hosts of the ceremony, which kicked off at 8 PM ET.
Tons of country fans tuned in to see who would win the various awards. Unlike other country awards ceremonies, the CMT Music Awards are entirely fan-voted, so viewers are extra excited to see if their favorite artists win!
On top of that, the CMT Music Awards had a stellar lineup of performances throughout the night. One of the scheduled performers was Carly Pearce.
Pearce was also nominated for two awards: Female Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year.

During last year’s ceremony, Pearce’s sassy performance of “Diamondback” was deemed one of the best moments of the night. She delivered another standout performance this year.
Pearce performed her single “What He Didn’t Do.” The song just reached the #1 spot on the chart the week before the CMT Music Awards.
Pearce looked stunning in a glittery white gown with a cape. She stood on a platform in the middle of the stage, allowing her cape to trail behind her.

As for the performance itself, it was subdued, yet powerful. You could feel the emotions in Pearce’s voice as she sang.
