On January 21, 2019, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher welcomed their second son, Jacob Bryan. They honored the tradition they started with their eldest, Isaiah Michael (age four), by choosing a Biblical name for him.
Jacob’s birth was celebrated by his parents, who lost three babies in 2017-2018 before Carrie became pregnant with him. After he was born, the couple referred to baby Jacob as their “miracle.”
“Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good…” read a statement from Carrie that was attached to some of Jacob’s first photos.

Other than those initial pictures after Jacob’s birth, we haven’t seen much of Carrie and Mike’s youngest son.
The couple has always made it a mission to keep their kids out of the spotlight as much as possible. Because of this, they’re selective with the videos and photos they share of their boys.
Since Isaiah is older, Carrie and Mike appear to be more willing to post about him. But they’ve shied away from sharing too much of Jacob.
The last time we saw Jacob on Carrie’s social media was on Halloween. He dressed as the Grinch’s trusty dog Max, while big brother Isaiah was dressed as the Grinch himself.
Even then, you could barely see Jacob’s face under the hood of his costume.

Then, nearly three months later, Carrie chose to share a series of new photos of Jacob in honor of his first birthday.
Even though Jacob is covered in cake, the pictures offer the best look at the little guy’s face that we’ve had since he was a few months old. He has blond hair and looks like he has the cutest smile.
This is something that Carrie confirms in the pictures’ accompanying caption, writing, “You are smiley, crazy, smart, soooo fast and into everything!”
Carrie went on to gush about her “miracle baby“:
“I can’t wait to see your personality continue to shine! I have a good feeling you’re going to keep us all on our toes for years to come! I thank God for you each and every day.“

It seems like it was only yesterday when Jacob was born, so it’s hard to believe he is one!
Another rare instance when we got the chance to see Jacob’s face was back in June. Carrie posted a video that showed how Jacob would stop crying whenever she sang, but would cry if Mike started singing instead. You can catch that hilarious clip below!
