Carrie Underwood made a triumphant return to the stage for the 2018 ACM Awards to perform her latest single, ”Cry Pretty.” In addition to her remarkable performance which received a 29-second standing ovation, the country singer has set the date for her forthcoming album Cry Pretty.

Underwood took to Instagram to share the exciting news that her album is set to hit stores later this year on Sept. 14.

”#CryPretty the album…coming September 14!!” wrote Underwood along with a link to the trailer for her upcoming album.

The country singer was welcomed back to country music with open arms for her Sunday performance following a five month long hiatus from the stage following a fall at her Nashville home which left her wrist broken and 50 stitches in her face.

Additionally, the singer was moved to tears following her and Keith Urban‘s win for Vocal Event of the Year for their collaboration ”The Fighter.” After their win, Underwood tearfully thanked her fans and the academy, saying, “Thank you for having me…I’m still shaking right now.”
