Ever since Carrie Underwood gave birth to her first son, Isaiah, five years ago, fans have wondered if he would take more after her or her husband, retired hockey pro Mike Fisher.

After the release of Underwood’s latest album, The Gift, it is clear that the young tot takes after his country-singing mama!

Isaiah joined Underwood for a new rendition of the Christmas classic, “Little Drummer Boy,” which she announced on Instagram on August 27, 2020, while promoting the album.

I can’t wait for you all to hear…a very special version of ‘Little Drummer Boy’ featuring my own little drummer boy, Isaiah,” she wrote.

Having her eldest son join her on her Christmas album, which was released on September 25, 2020, was a no-brainer.

Underwood told Today’s Country Radio With Kelleigh Bannen on Apple Music Country, “He loves to sing and he memorizes lyrics, and even if sometimes I’m singing something from one of his little shows, he’ll be like, ‘No, that’s not how it goes.

Underwood continued, “The fact that you know that, and the fact that you correct me, is so me. That’s the me in you.”
