Country crooner Clint Black met television personality Lisa Hartman on New Year’s Eve 1990 in their hometown of Houston, Texas. The two came to be acquainted after Hartman attended one of his concerts at the height of his career, and in a seaย of thousands, he only saw her.
Black’s manager introduced the two of them and the country singer was immediately taken by her. While their initial meeting was brief, mutual friends of the two made sure they met again. The pair reunited following Black’s visit to Los Angeles for a Tonight Show appearance.
“I knew intuitively that she could be trusted with my heart and my life,” said Black according to Country Living. Just a short ten months afterย meeting, they tied the knot in October 1991.

“Once I met him and got to know him and then started learning about his music and all of that, and his poetry, I had to kind of forget about it when I was around him,” Hartman said. “I’d find myself looking at him going, ‘You write all that stuff? Where does it come from?'”
Their Happily Ever After
After 25 years of marriage, the two are more in love than ever, getting to know every aspect of each other. Hartmanย has even joined Black in song for three touching duets, including the heart-melting tune “You Still Get to Me.”

Back in 2012 in an interview with talk show host Anderson Cooper, the couple put their love to the test in a hysterical game coined by Cooper, “The Not So Newlywed Game.” The couple started out strong nailing the first two questions but then began to stumble a bit inย the second half of the game.
Putting Their Love To The Test
Cooper kicked off the game by askingย Hartman what she would ban from her husband’s possession, to which she hysterically replied “Everything!” before the two both accurately guessed “soda.” The second question up at bat was “Who initiated the first kiss?” and after much considerationย on the matter Hartman wrote down “Clint,” an answer identical to that of her husband.
Entering the second half of the game Cooper asked “How did Clint knowย he’d found the love of his life?” to which Clint hysterically answered,ย “when she stalked me.”
In complete contradiction to his answer,ย Lisa respondedย Clint knew he loved her upon discovering she can’t cook. In theย fourth and final question of the game, Cooper asked Hartman to reveal something no one knows about her husband. Hartmanย answered that her husbandย is a good dancer, in contradiction to her husband’sย answer that he’s aย good cook (a skill that probably comes in handy since his wife does not).
Such an amazing couple!ย You can watch theย hysterical video below!
