Believe it or not, this star of Dolly Parton’s Coat Of Many Colors has been an actor almost their whole life. Starting out as a child star in the 1982 sitcom Silver Spoons, Ricky Schroder stole our hearts as little Ricky Stratton.

Years later, he would go on to star in NYPD Blue and most recently, he played Robert Lee Parton, Dolly Parton’s father, in 2015’s Coat of Many Colors TV movie. He is returning in the sequel, Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, which will air on November 30.

While Schroder’s career is flourishing, his personal life is not. On Wednesday (Sept. 14), Us Weekly reported that his wife, Andrea, filed for divorce just a couple weeks before their 24th anniversary.

According to Us Weekly, she cited irreconcilable differences and is seeking “sole legal and physical custody of Faith,” their 15-year-old daughter. The pair have three other children, ages 19, 23, and 24. Andrea is reportedly requesting Ricky have visitation rights with Faith and is asking for spousal support.

In July, Andrea posted a photo of herself with a long caption, perhaps foreshadowing her filing for divorce.

“Life is moving so fast and there are moments when I grieve the stages of life that I used to dream about that now have passed; like getting married, having a baby, building a home, first day of school or last day of college,” she wrote. “These moments have all come and gone at lightening speed. So now I walk into a new, less predictable future that mid life brings, carrying faith, hope and love.”

We are praying for the Schroders during this time.
